Arrest History in Kitsap County
Kitsap County arrest records begin with the agency that makes the arrest. That may be the Kitsap County Sheriff, a police department in Bainbridge Island, Bremerton, Port Orchard, or Poulsbo, Washington State Patrol, a tribal or federal officer, or another agency with authority. WSP's public WATCH output can include Washington convictions and qualifying recent pending arrests. It excludes most nonconviction data and cannot replace the Kitsap County arresting agency's narrative report.
Kitsap County Arrest Records Office
Kitsap County Sheriff's Office Support Services is the county fallback for sheriff-created incident, arrest, booking, traffic, and administrative records. The sheriff uses its own Public Records Portal, not the county's general request queue. A focused request should give the event date range, place, involved people, case or report number if known, and the exact item and delivery medium sought.

Kitsap County requests may also go to kcsopublicrecords@kitsap.gov. A Silverdale counter at 3951 Randall Way NW opens weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to noon and 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Under RCW 42.56.520, the agency has five business days to provide, deny, acknowledge with an estimate, or seek clarification. That is not a five-day production promise.

What an Arrest Record Shows

It did not show a birth date, booking time, jail unit, arrest location, victim details, or arresting officer. Read each charge block on its own because one booking can carry several holds or cases.

Bremerton uses GovQA, Poulsbo uses NextRequest, and Bainbridge Island and Port Orchard use their city disclosure channels. WSP handles its highway reports. Kitsap 911 owns its CAD and audio for a Kitsap County event rather than the prosecutor.

The Kitsap County Sheriff's Office online reporting form starts a new nonemergency report in limited categories. It is not a copy-request portal. A temporary CSP number is not the final approved agency case number.
The arresting agency is also the best place to request a narrow set of related media or communications. Specify an incident report, photographs, body-camera segment, or other exact item rather than asking for every record tied to a broad date span. KCSO lists common charges of $0.15 per paper page and $0.10 per scanned page. Redacted body-camera video is listed at $0.75 per minute, with possible media and postage costs. Ask for an estimate because review and redaction can make a broad request costly.
Note: Sharing a police records system does not shift custody; the agency that created the Kitsap County arrest report answers the request.
Recent Arrests and Booking Logs

Arrests vs Convictions
A Kitsap County arrest record proves that an agency documented an arrest or that a jail processed a booking. It does not decide guilt. A conviction follows a plea or trial and appears in the court's judgment. Public WATCH is yet another product: a filtered statewide response drawn from repository data, with specific inclusions and exclusions under Washington law.

Note: An arrest is not proof of guilt; prosecutor screening, dismissal, acquittal, or later record relief can change what other sources show.
Kitsap County Arrests After Dismissal
A dismissal does not erase every record created earlier. The jail may retain its booking entry, the arresting agency may retain its incident report, and the court keeps a docket unless access is later restricted. Washington treats vacation, court sealing, and deletion of qualifying nonconviction law-enforcement data as different remedies with different effects.
Review each source after a dismissal. Obtain the official court order, then ask the source office about its correction or access process. RCW 10.97.060 permits deletion of some qualifying nonconviction agency data after statutory periods, subject to active-case and history exceptions. It does not authorize a searcher to assume that every old arrest entry has vanished.
